Lil’ poll & lil’ raffle

It’s a long time ago that we had a poll so here’s a new one. As well as the previously announced good friend of lil’ poll, lil’ raffle!

Todays poll is related to which faction you belong to: Team coffee (Kaje), team cocoa (Fienja) or the third team which loves to drink both (Maeda??)~

Information about the raffle

Christmas is coming and I thought it’s the best opportunity to start the raffle I planned since some time ago. Out of everyone who participates I’ll pick out three winners. There won’t be a first or second place winner with different prizes, instead I’ll decided to make it more fair and give everyone the same prize!

As some people know a friend and I have shared GW2 blog -just for fun- where we post something from time to time (when time allows it, right now I’m super busy with moving so I couldn’t post anything…>-<). So I thought… why not connect it to the raffle a bit?

Why did I mention this? Well the price this time is the

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns soundtrack.

Even if you’re not a guild wars 2 player, the soundtrack is really beautiful! So if you like music, I’m sure you’ll enjoy listing to it. Also if more than 50 people participate in the raffle, I’ll add another special price to it which will be raffled out between everyone who didn’t managed to be one of the lucky winners.

How do you participate in the raffle?

There are two ways:

  1. Give the raffle post on facebook a like.
  2. Make a comment on this raffle post on wordpress. (Please include your e-mail adress so I can contact you later and send the price over.)

I’ll choose the lucky winners on 24th December, right before Christmas~ If you have friends who love to play guild wars 2 feel free to tell them about this raffle, so they also have a chance to receive an additional christmas present! ; )

Next up some news about me moving to a different (far away) city:

Because of the large distance I’m still not done moving everything out of my old flat and into the new one and I can only slowly work on it on the weekends because I’ve a full time job. Despite that I have some good news: The whole process is done latest at the end of December and then the updates will be more regular again!

Now to a topic I already mentioned on my facebook page (if you already saw it there, just skip this part there isn’t anything new):

Many probably already noticed this but aho-updates.com didn’t update since a long time ago.
And by now I highly doubt that the site owner will fix it so the only way to receive notifications of updates for Hidden GMs Destiny and Gods Ordeal is via email, my facebook page, subscribing to my wordpress page when you’re registered over wordpress or via https://www.wlnupdates.com/ … :(

This is the only website left which accepts updates of translated non-asian novels aside from aho-updates as far as I know.

Most of you were updated via aho-updates for HGD and GO in the past (I know this from the website statistics) so I can imagine how many of you are inconvenienced because of this. *sigh*

I used this website as well, especially for the many non-asian novels which I like to read. So the day when aho-updates stopped operating was a real loss in my eyes for all non-asian authors listed there… X:

If you know any other website similar to wlnupdates or aho-updates which accept non-asian novels please let me know.

 

Hidden GMs Destiny second bonus chapter

Here’s the second bonus chapter of Hidden GMs Destiny, enjoy~ If you missed out the first bonus chapter and didn’t notice it on the Hidden GM main page, you’ll find the link here.

This chapter is from Kyles POV, so don’t be too surprised to see the two disasters from a different perspective (though I would say both…Kyle and Keruna are kinda biased..lol).

I intended to do a Hidden GM and Gods Ordeal double release but because I’m moving to a new flat, I was too busy and even right now I only have around 5 minutes to release this Hidden GM chapter…x.x”

I try to get the GO chapter out as soon as possible. I continue to keep you all updated on my facebook page.

(I’ll compile chapter 9 part 1 and 2 on a single page as soon as I’ve more time as well.)

After noticing that some readers received some critical damage to their stomaches and the desire to receive a warning (to decrease said damage?), I decided to add a little warning on the release posts!

I’ll add an “xD” at the end of the release posts if I think that a certain chapter or part could be dangerous for your health~ That being said, I fear I have to mark this chapter as “xD” worthy but that mainly would be part 2, I think?

 

Furthermore I created a new page for “Gods Ordeal” on the novel page (additionally to the links on the oneshot page), to make it easier to find for new readers.

Also after the poll and some more discussions with CS we’ll start doing sponsored chapters/parts now (read last post for more information here). Hopefully this will encourage a few more people to donate a bit a make it possible for the CS staff to focus more of their time on the novels.

WordPress removed comments on new pages (updated)

Some informations about the comment system with the new wp update (if you like to comment on blogs and don’t know about it yet you should read the following text):

I really love reading everyones comments and just noticed today that wordpress removed the option to allow comments on pages (the ones you find in the menu and all chapters are posted on) with their recent update… So from this day onwards (except they change it in a later update) if you want to leave a comment (and make the author less depressed over this stupid update) please write it in the release post (the pages announcing the release of a chapter/part etc. with the many blabla from the author)! T^T” Honestly I already wondered why there were less comments these days, but now I know.

I really liked the option of comments being posted right under the chapters (also on other websites on which I read other authors works). It was really convenient and you could discuss over a new chapter right away. Furthermore I like reading the thoughts/reaction of other people about a new chapter. Now… in case one starts to read a novel not from day 1 you have to look for every single release post to read comments?! Or have to click back every time to the release posts?! Seriously I wonder what the wp programmers thought by not even allowing people to choose freely if they continue to want comments on their wp sites or not..x.x”

I filled out their survey and  mentioned this problem… I hope enough people think similar and that they implement said option at a later time! *starts praying*

Edit: Added some tiny explaination in brackets after receiving Merahs question about what the pages and what the release posts are. Long explaination can be found in the reply comment to Merah (which includes also the reasons why most people with novel blogs post as pages).

Edit 2: Thanks to Natsulus help it’s possible again to comment on pages!!! (But really wp couldn’t hide it any better…x.x” Nor did I find anything about it yesterday on my phone *still don’t have a new computer*) So yeah if anyone else is looking for a way to get it back and didn’t found the solution yet, read Natsulus post~

Gods Ordeal Story 6

Yep, it’s “story 6” not story 2! And no, you didn’t miss out the releases of story 2 to 5 either.

Because “Gods Ordeal” is a collection of oneshots which can be read separately from each other, I’ll release which ever story is finished translating and proofreading first. It mostly depends on the translators mood what will be released next…xP

This story features the topic of the “appearances of gods”.

As usual huge thanks towards the Cave Scanlation team working on my stories for translating and proofreading them.

(Story 2 has a more serious topic and the continuation of the first story can be found in the 6th chapter.)

Story 6: Fashion Trend

 

 

Next up is either one of the Bonus Chapters of Hidden GMs Destiny (not one of the extra chapters which will be included in the ebook version) or the first part of chapter 6. I still didn’t decide yet. Maybe leave me a comment what you guys would prefer to read first?^^

I’m feeling a lot better now and slowly get back to work while I still focus on recovering.

As previously promised, here is one of the oneshot chapters as a tiny apology for the absence of updates. Hidden GMs Destiny chapter 5 is currently being proofread (it’s around 17 pages long) and I hope I can release it as soon as possible.
